Date.UTC

Returns the number of milliseconds between the Unix epoch (January 1, 1970, 00:00:00 UTC) and the specified date.

Syntax

UTC(year, month?, date?, hours?, minutes?, seconds?, milliseconds?)

Parameters

• year

  The year.

  Since JavaScript was invented in the 20th century, when people didn’t know a lot about time keeping, when provided a year between 0 and 99, it is interpreted as a year in the 20th century.

• month optional

  The month as a number between 0 (January) and 11 (December).

• date optional

  The date as a number between 1 and 31.

• hours optional

  Must be supplied if minutes is supplied. A number from 0 to 23 (midnight to 11pm) that specifies the hour.

• minutes optional

  Must be supplied if seconds is supplied. A number from 0 to 59 that specifies the minutes.

• seconds optional

  Must be supplied if milliseconds is supplied. A number from 0 to 59 that specifies the seconds.

• milliseconds optional

  A number from 0 to 999 that specifies the milliseconds.

Return value

A number.
